Want to pick up a set of saddle bags.
Which ones have the best fit and most storage capacity?
The Color-Matched Combination bags look nice but my sled is Black and Silver.
Pics are alway helpful.
;)!

I have the Yamaha 40th bags. They fit great but
arent very big.
Ill post some pics later.

I also have the 40th bags. They fit great. I like the look as they don't stand out on the sled. Keeps the sporty look alive

Here is the all black:

If you mean on the rear extension... It's a really light weight cover for the sled at the motel at night tied down with a ratchet strap.

If you are talking about the bags that extend down over the covers, I would say that they'd have to. A loaded bag no matter how it is attached is going to move at least a little bit. If it's moving at all it will wear on the paint. I have a "rub mark" on the edge of my blue gas tank near the middle of the seat from my coat I think... Can't see where it was made by anything else. A loaded bag would mess up the covers IMHO.

The picture I posted above was from last year, out 4 days and 3 nights almost 700 miles, had clothes with me I never wore. That bag has plenty of room, even had pair of shoes in there. Just have to pack carefully and wisely. ;)!

I have a set of Yamaha semi rigid saddle bags that are like brand new that I got when I bought my sled used. My exhaust covers are not scratched. I would be interested in selling them if you are interested..I am not very computer literate but i could try to send you a picture
