What are the odds of a key from one sled fitting a different yamaha sled? The reason i ask is that i was riding last week in the UP and we were at a hotel in Munising and a fellow yamaha rider lost his 1 and only key. So we tryed the keys from a few other sleds and mine fit and worked.So i gave him my extra key that i had so he could keep riding. Saved the guy a bunch of cash im sure. What are the odds of that?

My 06 Apex ER and 06 Attak both used the same key. When I wrote the ER off I kept the switchblade key from the ER as a spare.

i want to say yamaha has 100 diffrent keys but i may be wrong. i lost a key once and was able to get one by chance from a dealer checked every key in his lock box and one worked.
