Lost Apex key

Hey guys I lost my key to my 06 apex and only had one key. Just wondering where is a good place to get a new switch and key? The key I had was the Yamaha one that folded up and I would like to replace it with that one! Any help would be great thanks guys

go to a yamaha dealer and they can order a blank one. you will have to get it cut after they get it will not be cheap.

It's a pain in the neck and takes forever if you have the key # and want to get it sent in already cut. Plus it's the cheap metal one with no casing and not the nice one that comes new with the machine. It might almost be worth paying for a new ignition...and hopefully it comes with a key, not like the Kubota that you have to order separately. Good luck and order a spare.

was wondering if u could jump ign switch wires to start in an emergency situation? can thix be done?

Yes. Very easy. Red to red/white and brown to brown/white.
