I installed this clutch over the summer and I know serveral other members have as well. for those of you that are using this setup, have you noticed any noticeable differences? I really haven't except for teh lower engagement. My top end is still around 94mph on the GPS. I was under the impression I would get another 5mph out of it but I didn't. Shouldn't have went with the Ulmer kit! I was thinking about changing the gears to try to get another 5mph. Will the 22/39 gears require a 70 link chain?

Huge gain on my sled dont know top speed yet but so for, money well spent.

For me it was like letting 15hp out of the bag, an 800etec and 800ho cat had a real surprize this week on a 1000 foot run(95mph) I'm seeing 104-108 top end,136" track. Stock gearing.

929, what mods did you do to get the "15hp". I need half a mile to hit 95. I mean I get to 90 real fast but then it hit s a wall. I NEED to see triple digits on this sled. Teh torque is great and all but I can't have all these 800's casually flying by after we hit the 80-90mph mark. I'm hooing a simple gear up with a new chain will give me another 5mph without losing the low end.

The Schmidt Bros. clutch kit works very well on my sled, and I'm glad that I ordered it. I mentioned to Chris what I was interested in, and he set me up with what I was trying to acheive. I am a little surprised by the improvement over my past stock set up. I prefer corner to corner gains so I cannot tell you my speedo reading at WOT.

It was not by luck that he was a top qualifer in one of his races as his web site indicates. Make sure everything is installed correctly.
