Screw in studs on a Mav

Anyone use the dirtbike screw in studs for the lugs on a track. I have cut down my Mav to approx 1.8". Where the lugs are thick I was planning on screwing in some of the studs. I think they would be great in the hills on those icy days. I talked to a guy who did this and had no issues with the studs or track and said they worked great.

I have a buddy that did it with a 162" Maverick to stiffen lugs worked great, didn't use ise racing studs used hex head screws.

Did the hex screws help with the traction on ice

I have them in my srx. about 1000 of em. works mint!! I think you would be ok running them.

What kind of hex screws are we talking about?

Well I picked mine up at my dealer. All they were are ATV ice screws. My track is .98" so I got the .75" length screw. I think they were $24 for 250 count.
