I purchased a 2007 Phazer Mountain LIte with a 144 track second hand from a guy here in Alaska. I would like to know what elevation the clutching is set up for but can’t get a straight answer from the dealer.

The dealer where it was purchased swears it was set up for sea level when they assembled it but doesn’t have record of it being done. I know from the factory these machines are set for 8000 feet but I want the sea level setting. Can anyone tell me a way to check it?

Also, In the tunnel belt storage case there is a sprocket drive part number 8GC-17682-00 and I don’t have a clue what its for. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

My guess is that the dealer did the changes before it went out the door. I also bought a 07 mnt lite in AK brand new and they had to delay shipment because the were waiting for 19 tooth gears to replace 17 tooth and they also changed out the waights in the clutch. All this was done to overcome the over rpm at sea level since testing was done at 6000 feet or so. My suggestion get on slam the throttle and whatch you rpms if it don't overrev your good.

P.s. did your starter get looked at? if not, loc tite the bolts(2x) that hold it together seemed to be a big problem.

Check the rivets in the clutch weights. Ask you dealler what ther are supposed to be made of and which holes should have rivets in them.
