Heeey guys, Ive been searching through the same threads for a couple days now and cant seem to find any specific direction so im sorry if this is redundant!

I looking for a new track 121" my riding style will mostly be ditches, cornfields, fields of all types really, very little groomed trails, and no ice. I pretty much ride my sled as hard as possible as im always with faster sleds. My biggest concern is having enough traction coming out of corners and when I slip off a trail into no mans land and do Iowa's version of "freeriding" aka I came into a turn to fast and lost it into the woods!

I don't anticipate studding it either.

from what I can gather is the camoplast hacksaw is a viable option but I saw some talk about a 1.25" lug over the stock 1" but when I search I can only find a 1"lug! maybe im just way off base so if someone could list off the top 5 most common brands/models and include websites that would be an AMAZING amount of help!

Thanks! :sled1:

Another vote on the freeride

Being from Iowa, I ride about the same stuff as you, but more trail. I have the 121" Freeride and love it, but if I had to buy again, I might have gotten the 136 or 144 with tip ups. I've gotten mine stuck in places that I wish I could go.

Or you could consider an Arctic Cat Firecat Predator track in either of these two sizes.

128" X 1.325" X 13.5"

or like I am running a

144" X 1.25" X 13.5"

The 128" above you would need rail extensions but can leave the tunnel as is. For the 144" you would need both the rail and tunnel extended.

Just wondering but how does the Firecat track work when it's only 13.5? I cut down a 15 to 14 and the back wheels run to the edges.

hey thanks guys, I read about the freeride and just did a quick search for it and didn't come up with anything good. I didn't realize it was also a camoplast product!

So I could go with a longer track 136" with tip ups? what are tip ups?

tip up rails-rails are tipped up in the back so track acts like 121 cornering and still gives flotation in deeper snow.

Ruggy buggy 13.5 fits, wheels are right at edge but fit. I have run 128x1.375x13.5 for 4 years and works awesome. Looking for a used firecat 128x1.375x13.5 track currently for a friend who wants to do same thing.

You certainly don't want a hacksaw track if you're riding in ditches...you wouldn't get out.

X2 on the freeride 1.5

freeride 144 made all the difference in the world on my sled. I was bounching in ditches with it something I would be stuck as soon as went in it with the 121 stock track

Freeride,Mountain skiis and Skinz Glide plate made deep ditches FUN for me.
