seat color

Changing the side seat cover panels

Just changed mine from silver to white. Had it done at a motorcycle seat repair place for $150.00. Converted entire sled from the Blk/Sil to Blk/Wht. Looks awesome!

Alright, someone explain how they actually did the job?

Looking at the seat, it would be tough to mask it perfectly....did you overspray onto the existing black?

The panels were replaced. The material is a marine vinyl

I'm wondering kinda the same question. What are the best conditions to spray the seat?
I almost did this last year but chickened out when everyone started talking about it not lasting.

What happens when it starts wearing off? Can't you just peel the rest off or something and re-spray it?

Mine did not wear of and it is 2 years ago when i did it ...............

Alright, so did all of you have someone else do it or what?!!
Obviously prepping the seat is important. I good rub down with brake cleaner (is what I'd do!) and a light wash with some soapy water would get it clean.
The right side of the seat would need to be cleaned well due to the brake dust on it.

But again, how are you all going about masking it off??!

I rode over 3000 hard miles when mine wore off somewhat.. I do alot of stand up riding and im sure that has something to do with the wearing..

It will wear off for sure.. So dont let anyone fool you.. I even used the pre prep on my seat to make sure it was clean..

Here is a better pic. The gray panels were replaced with white for $150 including labor. Turned out great!
