I think you have to take the exhaust covers off .Thay are behind there.
Yes remove the exhaust cone ends and then the tailight fascia and there on either sid of the tail light.

Yes, as said above remove the two end caps on the exhaust, there are two 4mm or 5mm allen head bolts that come out (there is a third bolt in the exhaust cap but it remains in the exhuast cap and will not come out (there is a nut on the back of it). Then to take the exhaust/tail light bezel off, you remove the four 10mm bolts on the inside of the tunnel (two on each side). Then there is two 10mm nuts that you remove to get the seat off, they are on the two mounting posts on the bottom back of the seat. Then slide the seat back towards the rear of the sled and it will come right off. Good luck!

you will know when you loosen the 5mm allen bolts.....im pretty sure the dummy bolt is the one offset, while the two you want to remove are across from eachother more or less.....no bigdeal if you loosen the dummy bolt,as you will see it easily when you pull the CAP off,and you can tighten it back up....one of those things hard to explain but you will see easily when you do it.
good luck

Thank you for the great info. My only question is how did you know they were going bad. I have an 06 Attak with 4000 Miles on it and I hear a strange ticking like sound that I thought may be an Exhaust leak.
