All,
Thought I would let you know to take off your seat and check for wear marks on the gas tank. I had actual indintations in the plastic of the tank from the seat. I placed some thick peices of rubber matting over those areas. I have about 1800 miles on my sled, so if you haven't had to take off your seat, you may want to take a quick look. Took me all of 10 minutes to remove the seat.

Wow,now thats not what i exspected from yammi,we had the 05 confusions and they both had gas tank to frame rubbing that was so severe that they had recalls to them,as those that were not fixed could and would catch fire, from the gas tank rupture. Now we had my attak/apex skid and seat both out last year twice and never saw any rubbing, but my boys rtx never had that seat off,it may not hurt to take a look,we dont need any unexspected problems this year... thanks for the Heads up... ;)!

I'll have to check that out. Since we are on the subjuct of things rubbing the fuel tank I think I should mention that it appears my bulkhead is contacting the tank. I'm not sure how severly but it is definently contacting. I have all my pannels and light pod removed for some custom add ons and while I was sitting and imagining running down the trails I happen to catch a spot were one of the aluminum castings is touching. If you follow the round aluminum tube down the left-hand side you will see what I'm talking about, it right between the plastic cover in the foot well and the aluminum belt gaurd plate. You should be able to see this with just the left side pannel removed. Can't see any gouging but I am wondering if they are all like this or if my tank needs to be shifted backwards before something bad happens.
