I like guys like you that come up with these fix's the cheap way why not fix it right and be done with it, and if your fix is the right way send it to Yamaha , I would like to know why you feel this is way to fix it and yamaha tech guys tell us to do this way.
Yammie will tell you to keep the float.
nothing cheap about this MOD....its not a fix,its for guys who want to remove the float and do it by running down to the corner for parts and not need to go however far to a dealer and order a shim. the thread was meant to be an option to going with dealer shims.
it works well, and no issues were found.....
so for someone to say DONT USE O rings with absolutely nothing to back that statement up just cracked me up. now people can try whatever they like, just saying that what i tried worked well.
funny,if i listened to what yammie techs have told me nothing would be right with my sled......and isnt it funny how after 4 yrs now the new sleds come with pretty much every fix we did back in 06 ourselves...if you want to wait for yammie to fix something youre gonna be waiting alongtime in most cases.
