So I pulled my secondary today and was going to send it to ulmer to get it machined and found the bushing or what slides onto the shaft is very blue/black and smells... smells the same as when your brake caliper binds up or hangs up.... I normally grease my secondary clutch bearing in the off season so I then pulled the seal... there was grease in the bearing but not much... I packed it full of grease.. my question is has anyone seen this? Or is it normal?should I bring it to the dealer?

I would bring it to the dealer, if it's not to much of a problem. Maybe it's binding...

This is normal. Clean all the grease out of there and run it dry. I doubt it is. But just remove spring and run clutch in and out by hand to check for binding.

If you ran stock 8jp belt you may have belt dust jammed in there....ours did when the girlfriends Viper was new. My new Viper got 8dn right off the bat.

Ran the 8jp belt for 2400 miles... tons of dust.. I'll pull it apart and see if it's binding.

There both going to have belt dust, on a white tunnel. But it seems the 8DN has less and is way more consistent! Even if you have not blow a 8JP the 8DN will preform better! Plain and simple!!

8DN and 3mm shim under the primary spring no noticeable belt dust anywhere in over 500 miles :) Tim when you gonna break down and shim your spring?

Lol...I have already done that. Just waiting for the snow....but I'm not 100% sure I'm going to keep it. I might trade it in and start over in a year or two. I'm liking what I'm hearing though!! Just some other small issues non motor related that I would like to see fixed!
