If you are rebuilding secondary do not use Royal Distributing buttons or bushings as they will not last. Dealer didn't have original so installed Royal even used stud and bearing lock in the bushings still blew out after it disintegrated the buttons half way around the Rap Tour. Limped it into Yamaha dealer in Halliburton good people back out on the trail in and hour. Gotta to appreciate the dealers who will go out of there way to get you back on the trail. Thanks Bruce for some great service.

I just had a similar problem...bought the aftermarket bushing kit with the two bushings for the helix and sliding sheave, and it had the 3 buttons also....

I put the buttons in, but they fit real bad, so I put the OEM Yamaha ones back in....worn down about halfway, but still good for the winter.

I put the bushings in the helix and sheave and even used loctite's sleeve sealer. In about 5 miles the bushings started to move.

I then installed me OEM bushings and problem solved!!
