I know there was a topic about this and I did read it but I have a few more questions.

After I updated the jack shaft bearing to the 04, I went to install my secondary and it did not seem correct. I looked at the on line parts finder and ordered a bush, bi metal formed (item 6) and item 20 1.6 washer plate. Item 6 is a split ring bushing that fits snuggle around the stepped washer and loosely around the back of the secondary. With everything installed on the back of the secondary per the 04 setup there is still a 1/4" of free play. Is this correct or do you think I missed something.

Thanks

That bearing should be nice and snug with no play but your secondary should have some play for it to float back and fourth.

Shouldn't be anywhere near 1/4".

The bearing is identical, the collar is different. You should be able to use the original washers from 03, and the clearance should be identical since the shaft is in the same place, and the washers will be against the bearing race.

I looked on line to the 04 parts layout and they only shows 1(1.6) washer the 03 layout shows 3(2.0,1.0,.5). I will have to add washers and also check alliment. I thought it was wrong.
