400 rpm does make a big difference.
I agree that the rpm change will make a difference, I just think Bob's rev's higher because of more miles (looser engine) not the secondary setting. But I'm definately not an expert. Didn't you also say not to adjust the secondary to try to improve rpm's Ted?

Twisting the secondary will raise rpm but this is NOT the prefered way to do so.
Always tune your primary for RPM and your secondary for upshift and backshift.
I don't like to go beyond 70 degrees, If you have the right spring and helix you will only need to go 60-70 degrees.

My sled only revved to 9800RPM and then when I changed the secondary to 6+2 it came up to 10200RPM

I am getting my sled back from the daeler next weekend and I would like to change the spring position. Can someone explain how do do this.
