I had my rage and my vector in for the jack shaft, cdi box and clutch noise service bulletin. Now my dealer notified me about another bulletin that i think has something to do with hyfax wear. Has anyone had this done, and what do they do to the sled?

I have to take my vector in tomorrow for the bulletins. When my dealer called to tell me the parts were in for it...he did mention that there were 4 bulletins. I know of the 3, but i was wondering about the 4th. I failed to ask on the phone...but plan to when i drop it off. Perhaps the negative feedback about track howl is making so progress?...

If it was just a sticker then they sent that one to me already... Something about the routing of the hoses.... No biggie.

I saw this in snow tech magazine:
Yamaha has mailed letters to owners of record in regards to the importance of properly reinstalling the crankcase breather hoses onto the airbox, should it be removed for servicing or adjustment. If the two hoses are not reinstalled properly, an oil leak can occur which may lead to engine damage.
The key is to verify both crankcase breather hoses are reinstalled after removing the airbox on RS three-cylinder models. Yamaha has added new warning labels to new RS models, and has sent a label to owners of record to be placed on the side of the airbox along with a letter explaining this. Often, the airbox is removed to service the battery, and you can find the proper procedure to making sure your hoses are connected properly in your owner's manual.

yeppers.....that was it!!
Just as a reminder......
Recently we had a thread regarding the breather tubing underneat the airbox. It's not only that it might be forgotten but not installed properly. Due to the length & location it can be a pain to fully seat the thing and since few drops of oil from the fitting come to lubricate everything + the type of collar then the hose might not hold on.
Three things came out of this:
-This hose can easily be accessed from the crankcase side if the side panel is removed
-If the hose is extended by 4"(under the airbox) then it become user friendly
-replace the collar by a screw type one
There is at least one known case overhere last season that one machine lost its oil. The alarm came on, but the mess inside was done.
