- 2017 Yamaha Viper RTX DX
I have 2017 Yamaha Viper RTX DX. Have installed Pilot 6.9 skis with Bergstron triple point center carbides. Out side ski doo 4 inch carbides. Had to mount them the narrow setting width wise so I could get it into the trailer with out going over some ones ski. I weigh about 200 pounds ready to ride and carry about 65 pounds of gear in the rear tunnel bag. Have not change any spring tensions. So hear are my issues and questions.
I have a push under throttle and lift the inside ski. If I move up on the seat towards the fuel tank the push seem to be less. When riding the steering feels very light.
First question which is better 5.7 pilots mounted wide or 6.9 mounted Narrow?
Second question if I back off the front spring lock nuts on the skid will that put more pressure on the front skis?
Third what type of carbides would you recommend to use
Thanks for any input.
