Im looking for tips and good guidelines when adjusting my suspension. I have the knob on the side for the rear and the air shocks on the front. Where should i start im about 215lbs and i do mostly groomed trail rideing. Is the hieght adjustable too??? My old sled was a rx1 so i have no idea about this system. I assume my skid shock is the stock 1stage type,,, im not interested in getting it re-valved this yr (probably next summer).

I would set the Fox Floats to where your A arms are parallel to ground. I would set the ra adjuster in the middle.

X2 for the A arms. 45 psi with the skis off the floor is a good starting point.

55 psi in front shocks off the ground, A Arms should be level with you sitting on the sled. 1/4 shim on the underside back of the ski rubber. R/A adjuster depends on the trails conditions. The ride height can be changed, you have to have the shock removed to do it.

I would start out with spring clip 2 and cam 3 on your rear shock. And like everybody else is saying a-arms parralel with you sitting on it. To change your spring clip position you need to take out the shock remove the spring and then change the spring clip position. You might be in that position already, to be sure look at the rear of your shock body if you see just one groove on the alluminum body your in #2 clip if you see 2 grooves your in #3 and the same goes for 1 you wont see any grooves. as for cam position that you can adjust with your handy little tool in your tool box. To look up shock settings in apex genral talk the very top sticky is FAQ go down to susp. under mono shock setup you find it there.

re: fox float upgrade
I would recommend doing the Fox EVOL upgrade through Fox directly if you do a lot of rough trail riding with lots of moguls. They made a HUGE difference.

Fox Evol Upgrade
$350

Besides the deer whistles (they do work, tested in the northwoods) and HID, the next best upgrade I spent on my sled.

It is a bit of reading -- but worth it.
Valve job from Pioneer + other settings: Floats @ 50 PSI (A-arms "look" level); Limiter Straps 1 hole up (shorter); Springs (coil & torsion) where Bruce set it Pioneer, transfer - one turn in from red.
