I know we went threw this before but after our melt down we are getting 6-12 inches tonight,I am going riding tuesday. Should I just leave it stock for first 100-200 miles and let the suspension break in a little? or should I just start adjusting? Ill have my floats at 55 PSI and I am putting my strap back to stock!

You already know what I'm going to say!

"stock" is an unreliable term! Set the compression and rebound in the middle and you can adjust from there. Your weight, riding style, and trail conditions are different from mine so know where your settings are actually set (NOT the term 'stock' but an actual set settings) Have min spring preload on each shock and adjust from there!

Enjoy your ride!!

Thanks buddy,Your the one who said to leave it aloan for 200 miles and let the suspension break in or was that someone else?

Id say give it a whirl at first. You don't have to wait 200 miles, just try it out. Lots of stuff you can adjust on the trail.

I said DON"T spend the first 200 miles searching for the perfect set up! But that doesn't mean you ride a lumber wagon the whole time. (IF that is how your 'stock' setting were left) We received each of our 4 FX nytro RTX in the crate. I have no idea what a dealer would assume is 'stock' set up for a customer's sled. I do know none of the floats came with the exact pressure setting from the box they came in.... ( I'm not talking each pair I'm talking all 8 shocks were different!)
Like Yamahnator said you can adjust on the trail just make small adjustments and only one at a time!

Ill be sure to give an riding report on tuesday night,Does the manul give you an idea how to adjust the rebound and compression and such?

UPDATE

I really havent had some deep moguls to put her threw. But I had about 6 inch moguls ripping threw them at about 40 mph and it ate them up,I felt them a little bit but not alot by any means. Should I wait until I can get some bigger moguls or should I just stiffen her up?

I'm not sure what the consensus is for the major adjustments on the Nytro, but for me and my 40th, I am having a hard time deciding where to start getting techincal!
To date, all I have done is:
-Equalize the pressure in the Floats. They were set to 70psi, and I have them in the mid 50's now, and the front end sits lower and is much more compliant.
-Flipped the ski rubbers, and added shims. This made a huge difference on tralis that had lots of traffic, and had snow that had gotten soft and re-froze. 98% of my darting has been eliminated!!!
After that I'm not sure what I want to do. The sled rips so good now, that I think I'll ride the rest of the season like this, and then decide what to do. The front end wheelies very easilly, but it doesn';t really seem to effect steering when not trying to carry the skis. Turning pressure seems to be good, but when I need ot get over a water hole, or junk in the trail, a good blip of the throttle and the skis float over.. Not too much, not too little.

My general theory is to get the sled rideable, make minor tweaks, but leave them relatively stock for the first season. Then after the ideas have swirrled around for a while, I'll go nuts with all the bolt-ons! I generally don't even stud my sleds the first year.
