setup ulmer clutch set up hitting rev limiter

I guess the wrap would depend on what you're looking for in back shift. I was setup with a 3-3 wrap and 3-3 heel washers and 3-3 tip washers and was hitting rev limit on hard acceleration. Ulmer had me add three more washers to the heel (5-4) which corrected the rev issue but I wasn't happy with the back shift so I went to a 6-2 wrap and added two more washers to the tips (4-4). I was up in Canada on a trip and was hitting the rev limit with those settings so I loosened the wrap to 6-1 which corrected the rev limit and overall was a decent setup. I'm now trying to work out a back shift issue that occurs when I decelerate rapidly and then get back on the throttle. I've had this issue from the start and wasn't able to eliminate it so I'm going to try going back to the stock secondary spring.

I'm no clutching expert and have left that up to others to figure out so a lot of this is new to me. One thing I'm not sure of is when to add weight to the middle position. I believe it has to do with mid range pull but I don't know when it is needed and how it will effect heel and tip weighting. If mid weight is added will it pull harder in the mid range with lower rpms and slow the full shift out? Along with back shift I believe the transition from low to mid range is important on the trails because that the area you spend a lot of time in.

Well looks like we're in same boat I'm going in a big ride this weekend so I guess I will try it out and see what comes out of it
Thanks for info in going to call Allen and c what his thoughts are since it's his set up
