The rear holes you mean Dexter? My Simmons have two holes per side -- a front and rear hole. I've only used the rear holes and I've shimmed. Oh well, it still worked, lol!

yeah, the second or closest to the track. My old simmons only had one mounting hole.
I thought using it had better results than shimming. maybe I should try the shim too LOL

Thanks guys I looked in my basement and the rubber dampners are still in the stock skis the guy gave me when I bought the sled. Im going to put them on the simmions use the a back hole for mounting and shim them too!!!!!!!!

when you shim skis the piece you use for the shim ends up sinking into the rubber block, thus making it less effective. you want something than covers more area than just washers. as for the mounting holes for simmons, i bought a used set at the end of the last season and noticed the front of the carbides are worn a lot more than the back. these skis also have 2 mounting holes, but will have 3 when i bolt them on.

I see what you mean by "sinking" into the rubber. I plan on using some leather from an old belt and doubling or tripling in to get the right thickness.
