Anyone else have there rubber stops get damaged from there shims? I have bergstrom TP, Last year I thought it was just the way I installed them, But this year new stops and TP with new shim In stalled them perfect and switched skis after 58 mile ride and they were already starting to sink into rubber and deform it. I'm thinking it needs a wider shim so the pressure is distributed over a wider part of the stop. Any other Ideas or suggestions that people have done that worked????

Just took my skis off last night. Same problem. The shims were sinking into the rubber stops. I am trying out snowtrackers so I removed the shims and am going to use the rubber stops as is.

Bigger shims might help. What I do is when the sled is sitting prop the front of the skis up. I put a 2x4 under the skis, just in front of the spindles. This takes the pressure off the rear of the rubbers so they will last a lot longer.
