what skis with your bergstroms???

I ran 6'tp with stock skis last year, was gonna try the pilots with the 8tp this year but scott talked me out of it. I'm going with 8'tp and the stock skis, he said that there is more carbide touching the snow with the yammy ski than if I went with the pilots and the tp. What do you guys run with the bergstroms for skis and how do you like them.
