Anybody ever use Pledge (ask your wife she uses it to dust with)on the plastic on there sleds/

I tried it at the start of the winter and its still got a good shine to it.
I 've use several tire shine products, Armerals ect.

I have to say I'm impressed with the clean look it gives the plastic and even more suprised at its lasting power.1000mile and it still looks decent.

just thought i would shair.

cheers

Thats a good idea, I never really washed my sled never really cared, got bored this weekend, I used turtle wax on the painted plastic and wd-40 on the shrouds and leather cleaner on the seat. WOW did it come out clean I was pretty impressed, I think I'm gonna keep it clean more often. just bought some polish for the tunnels gonna do that 2morow.

Thanks black knight,

i bought a pair of running boards for my truck (aluminum) the seller told me only use pledge to keep them shinny, never thought about the sled.. Thanks

I have been using pledge for years, hear about in the 90's from a dealer using pledge to prep the sleds on the show room floor.

You guys are just spraying/applying it to your black plastic side panels?

I am currently using a Mcguier's product trying to keep them black and clean but I find it streaks a lot.

I use Plexus on the white painted surfaces and my windshield with great results but I am curious if using Pledge(cheaper) would give me the same results?

Mother's " Back To Black", works well, no streaks. Not a real glossy shine, but it looks good.

Regular pledge only none of the lemon scented stuff. The ones with the additive will build up over time.

I like to use Turtle Wax ICE in liquid...does miracales on all plastic, rubber, vinyl etc and makes them look like NEW again, no WHITE residue, a bottle will go for ever it only takes a very SMALL amount and goes a long way...

I would have never thougth it would be ok to apply to the side plastics, especially since they are rough textured. Is it not difficult to remove the wax on those?

Only using the pledge on the painted hood, black side panels I use the armor all on them.

Been using Pledge for 10+ years after every ride...even the lemon stuff... ;)!
12000 miles and build up isn't too bad...

I use 303 protectant. But I can see how pledge would work great too, I just never thought of it!

303 is a great product though, works great on all types of stuff. Armor all is bad stuff though, it will lead to cracking and shrinkage when you expose a armor all'd dash board to prolonged sun light and heat.

I use 303 on tires, sled, interior plastics, and it seems to last for a long time too.

I started using it when the people I bought my Laredo tonneu cover from gave me a sample, and said to use it and the cover would last forever (lifetime warranty anyway).

I have heard great things about the 303 spray/protectant, it is pricey up here and hard to find but I think I will give it a try.

X2 on the Armorall, didn't think anyone used it still.

Whats nice with Turtle Wax ICE is that it makes ANY faded colours look like NEW, no mather if its plastic, rubber rough or smooth painted or not and just simply works!

Just wipe on and wipe off and your done...nice NEW fresh look every time! ;)!
