SHIPPING A SLED

My 2 sleds came from conneticut (speeling?). we had 5 shipped up from there to chanuck ville. we hired a trucking company that had a truck in the area, and was comming back with an empty load so we had them swing by the dealership and load up. sleds were put on the shipping pallats and a fork lift loaded them. It was an open trailer tho... but they put covers on and wrapped with the shrink rap.... it was a 10 hr drive and thru border.. $1200 for all 5.

My uncle recently had a Harley shipped from Florida to Michigan, using one of the websites where you list your information and get bids. Low bid was $300, enclosed car hauler trailer, the operator already had two cars going from FL to MI, so adding the bike on was pure profit.

Another friend of mine did the same thing, found a guy in CA to haul a BMW bike to MI, showed up in March, carting the bike on an open trailer behind a Mustang through the snow. Hippie that made the drive did it for the love of the road and only charged $200 bucks.
