I've used Hygear before and I intend on sending my shock to them again. Problem is my monoshock bottoms out too easy when riding aggressive. I like it plush but need better bottoming resistance. Option 1 go all out and get Axis shocks spend 2000$...Option 2 get twisted spring kit on all 3 shocks with revalve. Option 3 simple revalve to my weight? I am going to send all 3 shocks just wondering who has been playing with suspension and what you guys have been doing.

I'm curious to see what you end up doing...I'm considering upgrading the shocks as well. I've got 12000km without any service done to my shocks and think I'm well overdue.
So many options that end up costing too much...waiting to see what happens by the 25th...could end up costing more.

I hear ya! Think I'm going with twisted springs. Gives me what I want at a reasonable price. Plus a clutch kit. Should be good for another year or two.

I have a 08' Apex Anniversary LTX GT with full Ohlins all the way around. This combo just cant be beat. I now also have a 13 Apex SE and wanted the same feel. I put Ohlins all the way around on it and it transformed it. The Sled is now for sale with its standard Fox Floats and I may sell the front Ohlins. PM me if you are interested.

I am no expert on shocks but there is a sticky on the valveing and alot of talk about the 3 stage revalve that from what they say will give you what you are looking for. please report back with what you do and how it works i need to look into this for the off season.

I would think twisted springs with revalve would get you close to where you want to be. I like the setup they did for me. I have the electronic ohlins though with gytr clickers which have decent adjustability stock. If my stock shocks didn't have that I probably would go the full upgrade to new shocks. I really like being able to adjust the rebound along with high/low speed compression. I have that ability on my Can-am 1000 max XT-P and it really allows you to set it up for a nice ride.

I love my suspension now it is very plush and bump compliant handles awesome it just does not do big whoops well. Bottoms very easily and I have personally lost weight lol she still bottoms. I am certainly going to call hygear and look into a revavle but I'll see what they recommend. Revalve and clutch kit for this machine for me for next season and EXUP adjustment. Should haul the mail after that I hope. Really like this sled but she is not faster than my 2006 Apex and it should be. Handles much better and takes bumps well very plush and rides like its on rails around the corner.

Turns out my cable has been broken to adjust the whole time I've owned the sled so I have not been adjusting it....maybe I don't need to rebuild the shock just need to adjust it to begin with lol! I will reach under there and stiffen it up today and see lol hopefully fixes it.

Hopefully that fixes your issue.... if you are still considering a revalve, call Frank at Shock Tek in Drayton, Ont. He's done 3 of mine and am very happy with them. Great guy to talk to.

Good to know thanks I was looking for someone in Ontario. Us dollar is killing the exchange so hygear will be even more expensive for me.

Murse, the dial that adjusts your suspension only adjusts your rebound on the monoshock. You can also stiffen the spring on the shock manually. I believe there are 7 settings.
