- 2018 Yamaha sidewinder XTX
I finally made The plunge over to the 4-stroke world.
I purchased a sidewinder XTX with the 141 track.
However not super happy with the shock setup.
I was wondering if anyone has ever switched out the fox float threes to the Fox QS3s.
Just wondering if they are a direct fit or is there some modifications that need done.
I spoke with my local Yamaha dealer and they informed me that the QS3's don't fit my sled.
Just wondering if this is the case.
Thanks for your help in advance

Ditching floats would be best change you could make. Imo those only belong under an office chair.

You can put QS3s on the front and center skid shock but not the rear, at least not one from a Sidewinder LE or Zr9000 LE. You can get a QS3 from a newer high country that is coil over. This will be better than your Floats. But keep in mind The 141 is an-coupled skid and will never handle as well as a 137. I spent a lot of money trying to make it ride nice and it's just not possible, it wont touch a 137. Even with good shocks, it will still ride harsh in the rear in the rough stuff. The 141 is made for different purpose: getting transfer and going off trail. its about 10 lbs lighter than the coupled 137 skid.

Glad it’s working well. Wish I could ride sidewinder back to back with mine
