Have you guys seen this yet?

http://www.shockwaveperformance.com/

Bear in mind I know nothing about clutching but changing the ramp angle would also vary your max revs correct?

In theory could you run low boost with it set to one setting then adjust it up when you go to high boost?

I was thinking of the same for my sled on and off nitrous. I saw one at the dealer today and it literally adjusts in seconds but I don't know what effects you will have to the shifting.

Need some clutch experts in here.

I would love to run 10,500 off the bottle, then rotate it run 9500 on the bottle go play and when I'm out of nitrous rotate back to 10,500 rpms. That possible with this product?

Do a search. I tested this helix last winter. It works & does what it is supposed to do. Your really not supposed to do your main clutch tuning by using the secondary but it does have a lot of adjustability . You can get too dependant on using it. You can develop other issues like too steep or too shallow & belt slipping or not enuff upshift in the secondary.

I use one and think it is the best setup (to date) for mountain riders where elevation, snow conditions, etc. play a factor. It allows you to easily tweek your clutching to maximize performance. The only thing, I think, that would make it better would be an adjustbles helix with rollers, instead of buttons.

P.S. I've tried several secondaries and I think this setup is the best to date.

Edit: If memory serves me right, you can affect max rpm by about 500rpm, with about 100rpm per revolution of the "lockring". I recommend using a straight helix (better performance for turbo applications) not the multiple angled helix.

I rode with a vecter turbo with this helix and rollers and it rocked I have ordered this for my nytro turbo...To control the up and back shift I would not use the Yami sec spring tho........02 :4STroke:

I had it, and loved it for changing conditions..for people that ride the same conditions all the time, I think if you set your sled up perfectly, your better of with the old style helix.

I will do more research on helix angles and try to decipher if I can use this gadget for my on/off nitrous to help keep the sled running optimally for either condition. Thanks everyone!

I got myne from PG yamaha and it works great to close the gaps from the 12 lb days to the 19 lb days and make it all jive,

I run nitrous also and have found the shockwave helix to be a great, quick, tunning tool. A 500rpm adjusting range is about right. I set my sled to run at 10,400 off nitrous. To run on nitrous I use the adjustable helix to set the sled up to run at 9,900. My nitrous wet system gives me a 1,000rpm kick in the A**. Oh yea, I run a 45/37.
