Shock wear. (WHAT TO DO?)

XTX...
For those who have studs down the center.
Like a 3" wide window... Right down the center line of your track.
Your shock will get ground away.
No matter if your shock or linkage bushings are worn or not.
Due to the approach angle, XTX track when rotating around the driver is a narrow profile.
In other words Yamaha squeezed in stuff. Like shocks, limiter straps, arms etc. Most of it an after thought in my mind.

But, the profile works better for flatter cornering, less ratcheting, and faster speeds. Give and take...

If you can't give up studs or someone made a mistake when studding...
(like my dealer did) You'll be looking for a quick and easy fix.

yeah, piece of cake to build back up. I just did some aluminum repair on my phazer 144 rails last weekend. stuff wears out gotta fix it. I will agree, kind of a low mounting spot. derk a der yamaha.

Why cant I modify the shock mounting to raise the bottom mount by 1/4" or so to solve this problem?
