these shocks are out of my 07 Apex RTX skid. I had some stuff break over the course of 3000+ miles this winter and would like some of yalls opinions on wether or not they are still good or not.

You could have shock eyelet welded..
I wouldnt worry too much about the worn spot in the bottom picture..
It would however be a good time to get that eyelet welded back up now that you have it out..

I have the same wear marks on my mono shock as that first picture.
This part of my Apex has got to be the poorest design (aside from the icicle handwarmers).
Yamaha engineers should be ashamed.

i wouldnt have it welded. all it will do is weeken what material u have there. is a big misconeption that just filling in with weld is a good thing. it ruins the base material and cause more corse crystals to from that makes fractures easyer to propigate. i would leave it. ive seen worse. remeber there is 10 times more force on the schock when its compressed then the weight of the skid pulling it out.
