shortened front shocks

I have the star suspension kit and love it. Robert at star said if I
wanted my front shocks rebuilt he could shorten them 17mm. Has
anyone tried this that could give some feed back
.

It lower's the center of gravity a bit by 17mm. Sleds is less darty. I have the same results with the JRE kits so they didn't have to shorten my fronts. All reviews I've read on their front suspension is very good. Their valving improves the ride but a lot. I'm sending my rears tomorrow morning. Their suspension kit works really good in soaking up the bumps.
