I picked up a 2007 Vector Mountain 2 years ago for myself. Great sled for off trail and crusing groomed trails. I picked up an XTX this year. My wife will now be riding the Vector. Electric start, reverse, and a Grey Hound bus like ride on groomed trails is right up her alley. Vast improvement over her 1998 ZL500. I'm anticipating that the 151" track will be too much for her to turn when the trail gets tight and twisty. Anyone have suggestions to shrink it?

I have a lead on a used 121" skid from a 2005 Vector ER. It is not a ProAction or a Mono. Looks like what was used on the RS Nytros. Couple this skid with a Hartman 136" kit? Any kind of skid swap is going to be fun since all the mounting points for the 151" are unique from the 121" or 136" factory skids.

For now I have a pair of Simmons skis on it and plan on lots of suspension adjustments the 1st and 2nd times out.

If you still have the paddle track that came stock, I would replace it with a smaller lug track.

I run a 151" camoplast crossover 1.5" on my Hartman extended Warrior, and my wife has ridden it with no problems.

Make sure your carbides are in good shape (I just run stockers on mine), and you should be good to go.

I use to have a vector with a 136" hartman kit.I loved it.I trail rode it in wi and upper mi and then changed the track when going out west.I had more fun on that sled then my apex mtn even in the mtns.I had quite a few lightweight parts on it though.

She rode it for the 1st time today. We took the kids out for about an 8 mile ride. She loved how smooth and quite the vector was compared to her old pile. She did say the steering was heavy. I'm going to back off the pre-load on the front shox. Maybe increase the pre-load on the center shox a bit too. I think the limiter straps are already all the way out.
