Women on Vector
We got an '09 Vector shorty at the end of last season for her and she really likes it. She came off of a '01 SRX. It took a couple of rides for her to get used to, as any change of sleds is an adjustment. I don't think she'd ever go back. Have not really needed to make any type of adjustments to the Vector either. Dealer did a good set up job. I only added some duelies and bling. Personally, it's the best handling sled I've ever ridden. I think the Vector with a turbo in it would be the best of both worlds. If I wouldn't be so addicted to the power of the Apex, I'd trade mine for a Vector.

I have both Phazer GT and Venture GT. The Venture GT steer lighter than the Phazer. It depends on how they are setup. I weight about 135lb and My wife weight about 115lb. We ride mostly trails in slow pace. We both like the Venture much better than Phazer. Quieter, more stable, and more comfortable, less lumpy on rough trails and less sore shoulders.

I want my wife to take my 06 Vector, so I can get something new, but she insists on keeping her Cat 570 fan cause it blows hot air on her feet all day. Saves me some bucks I guess...

could it be the skis..my wife had a rage..it got stollen,,she got an attack.and says it holds the trail better..but when i changed the runners on her skis..it was too hard for her..went back to stock...and now we do 150-250 ks in a day..shes small too.watersuper said:My wife may give up her beloved Doo and I am trying to convince her to try the Vector. We do 200-250 mile a day ventures on groomed trails. She is worried that the Yammi is too heavy. She can't take the heavy steering on my Apex but she only weighs about 115 pounds.
Any comments on this would be appreciated.
My wife put 4000 miles on a 05 rage, loved it so much we just picked her up a 10 vector ltx gt. Going to be a long summer...for her! Jay

My wife is about 125lbs and owns a 2005 Vector and loves it to death! Biggest improvement she loves, we bought Skidoo ski's and the sled is a dream to drive. She owned a SRX and a Viper and Arctic cats before that. 34 years of sledding hard fast trail riding and now family /friend trail ridng.

My wife weighs in at 105 and rides an 09 Vec ltx gt. We typically ride 200-250 a day and she loves it. Came off an 05 Vec with an airwave and she claims the 08 is way better. She likes the rider forward as it makes steering a bit easier for her. I studded it and put duallies on. I wouldn't hesitate to put your wife on a vector. I would go with the LTX GT as it rides smoother and the shock adjustablilty it crucial for the lighter riders.
You didn't say what Doo she's coming off of. If it's a rev she may feel the ride isn't as good in the bumps.
