Hi everyone, I just ordered the snowtrackers and plan to install on the stock skis. I currently have the simmons for the Apex. I will get them in a week, I'll let you know the difference. Anyone else have any experience with both set-ups?

I run simmons and my Dad runs snowtrackers. I love my simmons but if I were just getting my Apex today I would probably get the trackers rather than spending more on a new pair of skis. The one advantage to the simmons, however, would be the way they ride on top of powder. For my type of groomed trail riding in Maine, however, the trackers are just as good and are easier to stear.

Bottom line is they both work great.

all i can say is that the sno trackers are simply the best money i have ever spent on an add on. I ride primairily in canada and see snotrackers on all brands. they just work in all conditions. I have to laugh everytime i see someone trying to fit or buy new skis for their apex the answer is right in these pages. you will love them.

Do you reccomend the trail or extreme?

Just installed the snowtracker extremes as a replacement for the simmons skis. I noticed that both carbides on the simmons were only worn on the front half. The back half was unscathed, which helps to explain why the sled darts so heavily because it appears a lot of weight was on the front of the ski.

The snowtrackers are incredible and an absolute fix for the darting, way better than dual runner skis. It drives like a completetly different sled.

I just put a set of Studboy deuce runners on my sled. I place a 1/4 inch shim under the back of the ski rubber and checked the toe out. The sled right from the dealer was over an inch toed out. Toed it back into between 3/8" and 1/2". My wife drove it the other day and said she liked it better then the new 10 600Etec Skidoo for handling. She said she knew where the sled was going. Go figure.
