I know many here have Simmons and like them. Many others have Doo Pilots and like them (I assume most of you have the 5.7's). Summits come standard with Pilot 6.9's. Anyone have a set of these on their Attak?

Thoughts on the idea? My Attak will be getting a 1.5 or 1.75 inch track, and I intend to do a lot of Boondocking. Nice wide skis to help with the extra engine weight sounds very appealing to me as I know the stockers will not cut it based on what I read here.

So now I'm torn....assuming the "6.9" refers to width, I'd have to assume the Pilots might provide more flotation than the Simmons (I believe Simmons are 6 inches wide?) And maybe the Pilots wouldn't have the heavy trail-steering effort that a few have complained about with the Simmons.

Just bouncing ideas....feel free to bounce back.

Simmons are a little narrower but since they have carbide at each extremety, they hold the snow under the ski better, so very good flottation.. the 6.9 I can't talk for though...
