Does anyone run ski doo mountain skis on their Yamaha? Is that possible? I am wondering if they would be any better than the Yamaha mountain ski which I don't like at all. I have Yamaha skis on my Nytro and RXM and would like to replace with some used skis to save money.
I know I would love new Sly dogs or whatever, but money is a problem...

Are you talking about the 6.9 piolts ski. If so they will work great, just need rubbers from a ski-doo ZX modle.

Are the 6.9 pilots a wide ski for deep snow?

Yep, they are pretty wide, I'm guessing 7 or so inches wide.

If you want to save money go get the yamaha ski bottom for the work sled.
It is 7" wide and will fit your ski loops carbides and ski rubbers .
You just need to the bolt and spacers.
They float way better than the MTX skis do not darting crusty snow and have
a nice deep keel for good control .
About as good as it gets, had them on my turbo RX1 for years , they also
back up better than any other ski.
cheers...........
