I am installing a 136" Ripsaw without studs. What skis and length of carbides should use. I am not looking to spend extra money, but if there are vast improvements, I will do it. Also, one the carbides, should they be dually or single. Any help would be much appreciated. Four more months and counting.

I also have the 136 convesion, stock ski's with dual runner carbides. This all together works awsome, no darting at all. I swithed a ride with a guy with a short track and simmons dual runner ski's, well we both though my set up was better. His darted some. But compared to the way the dealer and yamaha sends them out no comparison.

1XR what is the length of your carbides? Do you like them or should they be longer?

I'm hoping not much more than 3 months mid Nov. Often we can go that early.

My carbides are 6 inchers, seem plenty long enough for me.

Mike , I have'nt changed my gears yet, but I might try a 22 or 23 top. I do know there is a loss in top end of 5mph with a 136. the best it will show is 121, compared to the norn of about 126.I don't know the top speed of the gearing is mathmatically it's probally I guess around 125 -130 real speed, and it deos not have the power.

I'm throwing SkiDoo Precisions on my sled. Heard very good things about them and liked the looks better than the Simmons. Won't have a riding report to give you though for a comparison for a little bit. 136 is going on tonight. Was going to do it last week but forgot the longer slides.
