Has anyone tried shimming the stock skis? If so, any clear positive & negative results? Just curious, thanks.

8" plastic that fits between the ski and the skeg. I noticed that though they did help in reducing the scrapes and dings on the very underside of the ski , they also made my higher speeds suffer, so i took them off. they are made out of the same material as the shims and bring the carbides down into the snow more, thus creating more contact.
