guys... i know some of y shimmed your skis...what is the correct way & how much to shim??? detailled would be great..

also buying new carbides...my sled ia 2008 apex ltx 162 studs up the middle...last two years ran duallies 6" carbide.. what is the best as i want more cornering... not changing skis!

do i really need duallies after i shim skis....... any thoughts????

this site is great we all help each other.. :yam: :die :rocks:

I switched over from Woody's doolys to the Bergstrom triple points two years ago. Added the skisavers and shims. Big improvement. Look at their web site and then call Scott. The triple points steer easlier, more precise and less darting than the doolys. These are on o8 APEX LTX. Wife's o6 Vector still has the doolys;however, I did shim the skis and I know that helped a lot because she has stopped complaining about the darting. If you are just going to shim it stop at a hardware store plumbing department and buy ther "johnny shims" that are used to shim up toliet. Also if you are running 162 you might want to look at going to a 8" carbide.
