I had the Ski-Shock rod break inside the saddle under routine operation. It broke after 8 miles on the first day of my two week vacation. I ordered the part and it came in the day before my vacation was over. Thought I would at least get one day in but the shock did not have a sleeve in the saddle.
Has anyone had a problem with the rod breaking on an 2003 RX-1 RE Limited...or any other RX-1 sleds?
This thing cost me $333.00

The ski shock doesn't go anywhere NEAR the saddle. Please clarify what part you are referring to.

You are right...I don't know what to call it. The part that the rod connects to that holds the unit to the lower wishbone.

Yeah, There is a bushing in place but the collar/sleeve is missing. I tried to take it out of the old one but it wouldn't move an inch. I cut it out but it is very tight sliding it into the new bushing. I'm afraid that it would go all the way so i'm going to order a new collar. This is really $#&#$
me off.
If you look on Yamaha's parts list it's # 56 (90387-10N57-00)

Spoke with Yamaha this morning. Told me sorry....your warranty ran out.
Parts break.......and we recommend that you have an authorized Yamaha
Dealer install parts. In regards to the missing collar.....not all assembled units come with all the parts.
