How the hell do I do this?? Is it as simple as loosening up the threaded rods out of the arms or what?? I can't find anything in the manual to tell me how to adjust them as my RX-1 came with the skis at 100% straight and these are toed out 1/2"!! Please help my sorry #*$&@ :o| :drink:

You loosen the nuts on the end of the tie rod. Then turn the center of the rod with your hand. Remember, one end is a right hand thread and the other is a left hand thread. Should be toed out a little. I set mine at 1/8 out and it still has darting issues on hard pack. I am setting it at 1/4 and trying it again. You don't want it 100% straight or it will dart from side to side.

Do you just loosen the nuts on the outside by the A - arms or do you have to loosen them at the other end also inside the engine compartment?

It seems to me that on my SRX I had to loosen both ends.

Dude with Simmons skis I gotta have it straight for these skis. :rocks: Also there ar eno pictures of how to do it on the tech side

Toed out, are you sure? Its my experience that ANY toe out increases darting and 0 up to 1/4" toe in has pretty much been how sleds in the past have been spec'ed.

Toe out will not increase darting, but rather decrease it. With toe out, each ski is trying to pull the sled to its side, in effect balancing out the steering. While toe in may not increase darting, your steering effort will increase and the sled will want to wander from side to side (as opposed to a move violent dart).

Toe out is the right way to go ~1/4". Why? If the right ski pulls you right the wt shifts to the left ski with body roll and there by decreases the tendency to dart in unwanted directions. Think about it, if toed in, then when the ski bights it loads itself further turning you a direction you do not want. My two cents Yamadoo

I'm not so sure about that TT, from every sled that I have ever done besides anything with duel runners, they should be towed out from 1/8 to 1/4", to help reduce darting. Duel runners should almost be run at 0. Tow in will kill top-end speed and increase darting dramatically.

Leave them alone. .5" will be fine. If you choose to do it, and can't get at the inside nut, Take the outside off, turn it to desired position, and reinstall. Just screw the end in or out of the rod.

By the way, I would really like to see any evidence that being .25 or .5" in or out will affect top speed. Even if it did make .5mph difference, how did would anybody measure it.
