I've looked at a lot of posts and it seems the most widely ski upgrade has been a set of Curves or Pilot 6.9s. I have a set of Curves on my Apex and with the slim Jim carbides they are awesome. Haven't seen many people trying a set of SlyDogs? During the Apex years it seemed a lot of riders liked them but I'm guessing they aren't a good fit for the Sidewinder? As far as cost I'm sure the Pilots are cheaper than the Curves. What are the pros and cons to these skis? Thanks and it's snowing finally here in Maine....

The Curves are a superior ski for trail imo. The factory installed skis manufactures install are aimed more for the average rider, ease of steering, adaquite bite etc etc. Most aftermarket skis are better in different areas of handling, flotation etc. Curves on the trail, in all conditions, work, they just work, it's almost like they adapt to the condition. From my experience a less expensive alternative would be the factory Cat ski.
