For the ultra plate or the huge float plate?

Did directions come with the Yammi plate? I can't remember. I do remember bolting it up to the bottom before I drilled the holes in the front to assure proper alignment of the holes. Also, be careful drilling out the tabs underneath. One, don't go to far and hit the motor. Two, they are not very strong. It's a thin metal and it can get tweaked pretty easy.

I just answered some questions about this maybe a week ago. Do a search I'm sure it will popup. It's not step by step but should help with the sequence of things.

Be real carefull when drilling the holes in the bottom frame. It's real close to the oil pan. One slip and whammo!

That was me LJ, thanks. I'm doing my white skid plate this weekend. I PMed him and here was his response;
"The stock skid plate should remain on the sled, you'll have to drill holes in the lower side pannels for the bolts that go in the middle of the plate. It's a lot of on and off again but I put all of the Rivnuts in then bolted the rear and front, slide the lower pannel in place and mark the holes. Drill them out with 3/8" bit and then reinstall everything."

Also, be careful when installing the AVK inserts. The threads can be stripped while installing them. Overall, a pretty quick install.

I agree, the rivnuts they give you are pretty weak. If you have another source that could get you some heavy duty ones I would get them, and hang on to them until you need 'em!!!

I put one on also. It's a pretty easy job, just takes a little longer than a phazer skid plate.
Like they said above, be careful when drilling the holes for the rivnuts, I ever so slightly nicked the bottom of the engine, just one slip and you're through it!
Be careful and take your time, it'll go together pretty easy.
