What is the different between the trail skid plate and the mountain skid plate. Besides the shape

2012 Nytro XTX 1.75
Is the mountain for the new 2018 mtxs with the dropped chain case i wonder?? I have the aluminum barn of parts and love it my nytro plastic one had a couple cracks in it after a few seasons. Travis at bop is supposibly coming out with chaincase protectors too but I haven't seen them yet?What is the different between the trail skid plate and the mountain skid plate. Besides the shape
