Skid Protector

I just purchased a new 07 Attack GT, and I live in MI.?? I was told at the Novi show that I should get a skid plate protector. The small problem is that you need to remove it when ever you change the oil. Should I spend the 90 bucks and put one on??

YES!! Look under your sled. There is a plastic trapdoor that is removeable. Directly under that is the bottom of your motor. If you hit anything hard, ie. frozen moguls, small trees, rocks, you can damage your motor. They are easily removeable and I wouldn't ride without one.

No question, it's woth the 90 bucks. If you hit something sometime in that area, $90 will seem cheap.

Skidplate for sure, everyone should have one. You would be surprised how often you actually would need it. By looking at mine, there are marks on it from things I never knew I hit. One hits actually bent one of the bolt heads holding the skidplate on. So I made my own custom low rise bolts to keep that from happening. But the stock ones are fine and it might have been just an isoltaed incident.

Many people have puked a motor cause of this. there are legs that hang down off the bottom of the engine, they don't need much to break off. Ask Sumpbuster, He didn't think he hit much of anything, but was stuck a mile later with no oil left in his machine. worth the ninty bucks!
