I have possibility to buy on Nytro 153 track. Is it possible to just move skid like for the 151" track? And how much should I move the skid then?

I know that I need to change drivers also to 3" pitch.

I have now tried to check out things about this change. When I have to go to 3" spockets there is 7T and those are bigger than Phazers. So I have tried to calculate gearing and if mine have 19/41 and I change to 17/41 that should make it 1:1 with the change to 7T 3" spocket.
So will I have a problem to gear down more? Do I need to gear down with a 153" track?
If I need to gear down more I need a new chain also I think...so mayby this "cheap" track will be more expensive before everything around is changed?

My buddy went to a 3 pitch 153 and went to the 17 tooth and it works fine. That being said the nytro tracks are junk just like the phazer so u may want to rethink? Drivers (extro's) will be about 150.00 plus a 17 tooth gear (40.00?) May be money, time and headache ahead to look for a 2.52 track. IMO.

OK Thanks for the advice. So a Camoplast Challenger 151" x 2" with 2,52" pitch should be the best choice?

I am very pleased with the challenger and im sure there are other tracks that would work just stay away from light weight thin ply (maverick) Tracks. And get it fully clipped, helps alot with slide wear.

So this is not a good choice due to the profile = maveric? This one is the right width: 14x151x2,3"

36x384cm Camoplast TRACK, drive pitch 2,52, 57mm profile Maveric

Now I have found the track that should be perfect

14x151x2,25" Challenger with 2,52" pitch that one should be spot on? No cutting and no change of drive wheels

Camoplast 9047

I have found a 153 pulled off a nytro for a good price. Will I have enough adjustment to to have the right amount of tension with moving the skid back 3.5 inches?

I went back about 3 1/4 with my 151 and i am at the begining of adjustment on rear idlers. so I would say yes, going to 153 you would only need an inch more adjustment and I have 2 inches.

Wow, where did you find a 14" wide track? I was never able to find one, had to cut a 15". I went with a 151 camoplast from a skidoo. It worked well. Big improvement. I posted a write up on here last year when I did the project. Tbyrd gave good advice and was a big help.

I will have to cut it down. It is a pull off from a Nytro. Have yet to be able to contact the guy but I am working on getting it.
