That's what I was going to say Mighty--you beat me to it. The hardware bag was supposed to be used. You can't just replace the rivets, the parts are included with the plate.

I was planning on using my oil pump (which pumps out of the dip stick tube) to change the oil in mine.
Does anybody know if the oil filter can be used for a few oil changes?

Yamaha says to change the filter at 500 miles then you can let it go to about 12k or seasonally. I always change the oil filter, this may be the exception. This engine operates in a very clean environment.Starry Knight said:I was planning on using my oil pump (which pumps out of the dip stick tube) to change the oil in mine.

Nope, 12,000. Like I said, the engine runs in a very clean environment. I will however replace it seasonally (if I keep the sled that long lol).

WOW! Thats amazing.
I am new to four stroke sleds and don't want to start a big oil debate. I normally run Mobil 1 in everything including my dirt bike and boats. Will I be able to run it in my Attak or do they require something special?

I too run synthetic, Amsoil. I usually wait for the engine to get a few thousand miles on it first.
I ran amsoil 0w-40 in both my RX-1 and Warrior and will run it in my Attak.

Accountable? That may very well be however be prepared for a $60.00 bill for something you could easily do yourself and know it was done right. You also learn about your machine as well. What a rip off!

First off they wouldn't get a nickle from me. I myself would have done it myself, but that's beside the point in this case. They screwed it up, so they would fix it if it was mine.Nice Rumble said:Accountable? Everybody.........Yes, I plan on doing some MAJOR B!TCHING. Besides, they were the ones who screwed up the skid plate - they should fix it. By the way, I generally do all the maintenance on my sleds myself. The only reason for bringing the sled back is to make the dealer correct their f'up.
