Skinz Snowflap

thinking about getting the new skinz snowflap. Just want a change. My 07 attack has the OEM yamaha flap, but trimmed off at the line, so it is 12 inches tall. The original height kept getting backed over. So the skins comes in 16 inches long or 10 inches long. I am thinking 10 inch one, but have a couple concerns.
1. do you think it will affect the cooling with a shorter flap?
2. will it be worse than the 2011 apex xtx flap for flinging snow?
3. most important, will it look good?
I just am afraid that I will back over the long one if I get that one. Thanks for any comments, or experience on this subject.

Is your tunnel extension still the stock Attak tunnel extension? If so, that is pretty close to the ground..... But I still think the guy behind you are going to get pelted bad with debris if you only have a 10 inch flap. I'd recommend not going any shorter than 14-15 inches, for the protection issues. In terms of cooling, of course the short one will not keep the snow circling around in there as well, resulting in poorer cooling for the sled.

If you get the longer one you could just run a strap from the bumper to the end if the flap and that will stop it from getting run over.
