We installed a Skinz under tunnel exhaust on my wife's MTX. The snow flap was left off as we also did a Skinz tunnel kit and just never got around to installing the new snow flap. From the little bit I have paid attention to this there is not much ice build up under the tunnel and of course no ice build up on top of the tunnel. Actually from what I have seen by the time we stop, get ready to load sleds and then actually load the sleds in the trailer any ice under the tunnel has usually dropped off.

I have an 08 MTX with an under tunnel exhaust installed this year. I ride West Coast NL. You know the powder we've had and ice build up has not been an issue to date.
Just my opinion but sticking the exhaust out the a$$ end of the Nytro was right up there next to sticking a 28 litre tank on the thing.
