I just put on a Ultra Q slip-on my 2009 Nytro XTX, it sounds great, but I'm getting a skip/sputter at 5500-5800 RPMs. I will be cruising at 5300 and hammer it and it skips once or twice. It sucks when It does it in the bumps bc I hammer into the bump. Wondering why it does it? It is just a slip-on and they say you don't need a fuel controller; could it be a spark plug or something like that?

Help please

When you get out of the throttle or back in it the sled sounds like it is missing but it is not noticeable with the stock muffler. I have swapped back in forth to compare. Strang but true. Dirkdiggler first told me about this and said its the braking effect of the throttle bodies as air is pushed thru them to limit engine breaking. Sounds like it is out of tune with the can on and freaks you out!

It does it when I'm getting in the throttle not out of it. When I need it and floor it skips, really annoying when I want the power and it is not there

i had the exact same problem!!! you need to adjust your throttle cable. When coming off power and then hitting it real quick the tors tends to step in.
